Main Task
Lab Safety & IP Security Awareness

• Supervise the implementation of BASF EHS policy and IP regulations
• Supervise the implementation of 5S management in workplace

Daily Routine Lab Experimental Works

• Implement experiments or any lab service works (e.g. extruder) in line with updated methods and optimized machine conditions
• Prepare or handle samples consistently and professionally to ensure a quality work
• Good time management in order to accomplish multiple tasks on schedule efficiently

Lab Facility Maintenance

• Maintain assigned lab equipment (e.g. mixers, extruders, compression molding press) and contact service providers if necessary
• Calibrate lab equipment in charge periodically to ensure acquiring of representative data
• Check and purchase lab consumables periodically

Reporting, Communication & Documentation Works

• Understand clearly about assigned lab works and consult to responsible business developer and technical expert
• Report any specific /deviation finding to the supervisor in order to ensure the materials, machines or environment to be able to meet the requirement of quality standards
• Maintain a good documentation (e.g. PALMS, public share folders) system and reporting line to ensure work traceability

Other Services or Training Responsibilities

• Visit customer and support technical manager on problem solving
• Be responsible for cross-BU lab work related activities
• Provide hand-on training to BASF colleagues and customers

Requirements:

• Education: Master or Bachelor in Chemistry or related
• Working Experience: at least 5 years in plastic industry
• Technical & Professional Knowledge: Polymer processing & evaluation; MS Excel; Good English communication skills
