Position overview
Do you have experience in warehouse management and pro-active attitude? We are looking for an experienced and persistent colleague with a strong leadership skills to join our team. As a Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for planning and monitoring all warehouse activities in a chemical plant. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products.
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable to organize and/or execute storing, receipt, unloading, loading, internal transport, labeling of goods and sampling in the most cost efficient way
- Manage warehouse staff
- Develop and implement best practice methods, cost savings measures
- Provide expertise in warehousing
- Coordinate activities between production, supply chain, as well as to external parties
- Work on warehouse related complaints (customer/supplier/DC) and timely closing
- Fully comply with allnex and industry Safety, Health and Environment standards
- Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters
- Maintain the store cleanliness and implement 5S
- Implement cycle count, quarterly, six-month and annual stock check
- Save original / preferential documents
- Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations
Required skills and experience
- 5 years’ experience in warehouse management
- Experience in dangerous goods transport, hazardous goods storage
- Demonstrated service oriented attitude under all situations
- Good English language skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office, SAP or AX
- Pro-active with the ability to anticipate problems and solve them right at the onset
Qualifications
- University degree in business with a focus on warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, inventory control or materials management in manufacturing environment will be considered as advantage
- Certification or experience in complying with dangerous goods regulations and hazardous materials storage
